You can also lower the pickup to the trim ring, raise the screw poles on one bobbin if it has them, to soften them up some. A traditional Gibson PAF is around 8k. The Super Distortion pickups were upwards of 14-16kohms.The Bolt and SCB6 are two of the nicest guitars I have ever played. The DC-127 is a solid guitar, just not up with the other two.
